What is SmithBasement.com?

This site was thrown together by me, Jim Smith. You can read about me here and here.

SmithBasement.com wasn't created to show off my skills as a Web site developer. I've got more important things to do than build a Web shrine to myself.

The purpose of this site is to collect in one place some of the stuff I do that's scattered all over the Web.

If you think about it, that's what most people do with a basement, right? They don't worry about what the basement looks like. They just toss there stuff they've collected when they don't know what else to do with it.

Maybe some day this stuff will get polished up and brought upstairs, but for now, it's staying in the basement.
